I am a fine artist / printmaker with a background in industrial print making / graphic design. I studied printmaking at Cardiff Met (then SGIHE) in the mid 1980’s and later BA (Hons) Graphics at Newport College of Art. Studying my MA, I concentrated on fine art printmaking. I have been lecturing for over twenty years.
My abstract work reflects an interest in found objects, textures, and the urban. I enjoy pushing processes and often combine printmaking techniques in one piece. I rarely produce editions. I enjoy the limitations and the possibilities that printmaking gives the artist. I try to exploit the unexpected element that occurs in a print and work with objects I discover by chance, but I also appreciate more traditional techniques such as etching and relief printmaking.
I currently lecture in fine art / printmaking & illustration at Neath Port Talbot College. I also run regular print making courses at Cardiff Print Workshop. In addition to print making, I also hand-bind books and make artists books at PrintUrchin Press & Bindery in Cardiff. Find more of my work on:
