The work in this exhibition is a selection of original prints, mainly etchings and collagraphs produced over the last 20 years.
Susan Edwards is also a painter working with mixed media and oils. She studied Fine Art at UWIC, now Cardiff Metropolitan University, as a mature student specialising in printmaking in particular etching and collagraphs.
I combine printmaking with painting and enjoy drawing which forms a starting of point for my work.
Her work draws mainly on elements seen in her surroundings, whether it is landscape, seascape, plant or rock form and most of the etchings are of Neolithic cromlechs in Pembrokeshire which have been a source of inspiration for a number of years. They are part of the ancient history of the county and she has visited most of them when exploring the area.
