Painterly Printmaking
Tuesdays 16th April – 21st May 7 – 9pm
6 weekly evening classes
£150
Explore the links between printmaking and painting. This six-week course will introduce a range of printmaking processes that go beyond the limits of the craft.
Monotype is often described as the closest printmaking gets to painting, yet it is firmly rooted in the traditions and techniques of the print room and is a unique approach to image making in its own right. Many of the skills and techniques practiced in monotype printing may also be applied to Drypoint such as layering, colour wash and wiping techniques. Lastly, Collograph offers huge scope for experiment, drawing on a variety of materials to create striking textural and tonal effects.
The course is designed to offer the opportunity for creative exploration.
Cost: £150 (10% off for CPW members)
