Etching Copper with Ferric Chloride
Saturdays 25th May and 1st June 10am – 4pm

Learn how to produce fine etchings in copper. This workshop is aimed at beginners and experienced printmakers alike and will cover all the main aspects of etching copper plate using traditional methods.
On the first day of this 2 day workshop participants will learn the historic craft of preparing copper plate and applying grounds for etching a line drawing. Then on the second day, learn how to apply a traditional rosin aquatint to add tones over the drawn image.
