Intaglio Printmaking

Saturday 2nd November, 10 am – 4 pm

The word ‘intaglio’ means to incise or cut into (Italian). It gives its name to one of the key processes for printing from metal, plastic or cardboard plates, including the techniques of etching, drypoint, mezzotint, collograph and engraving.

The course will explore how drypoint can be combined with collograph techniques and materials to create prints rich in mark making, line and textural effects.
