Introduction to ARE (acrylic resist etching) Mark Making on Aluminium

Sunday 8th February 10 – 4PM (1 day class)

You will learn how to use non-traditional ARE (acrylic resist etching) as an introduction to non-toxic, safer ways of etching onto aluminium and creative ways of mark making using a variety of methods to produce a small edition of prints on archival paper. All these methods are processes that can be recreated in your own creative spaces!

Intermediate ARE (acrylic resist etching) Sugarlift and Spit Bite

Sunday 22nd February 10 – 4PM (one day class)

You will learn how to use non-traditional ARE (acrylic resist etching) as an intermediate to non-toxic, safer ways of etching into metal and creative ways of making smoky inky tones and painterly marks to produce a small edition of prints on archival paper. All these methods are processes that can be recreated in your own creative spaces!
