Annie Giles Hobbs

Annie is a respected Welsh artist known for her distinct, personal style and commitment to her craft. Working out of her studio on Bute Street in Cardiff, she combines structured lines with intricate textures, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that draw viewers in with their detailed and unique look.

As a founding member of the Cardiff Print Workshop, Annie helped establish a creative space for printmakers, fostering a community when it was located at the Howardian Centre. Her role there, along with her years teaching at the School of Fine Art Cardiff and Cardiff Metropolitan University, reflects her dedication to supporting and inspiring the next generation of artists.

Now fully focused on her own art, Annie continues to exhibit widely, with her work featured in collections across Wales, the UK, and internationally. Her pieces can be found in private, public, and corporate collections, showcasing her appeal across different spaces and audiences. As a member of Butetown Artists, she remains a vibrant part of Cardiff’s creative community, constantly pushing her artistic boundaries and bringing new depth to her work.
