Ffion Reynolds PhD is an archaeologist and artist specialising in the prehistory of Wales. She has directed excavations at the Neolithic sites of Bryn Celli Ddu on Ynys Môn, and at Tinkinswood and St Lythans, in south-east Wales. Her work has taken her on a journey exploring the diverse environments of prehistoric sites, from their especial geologies through to the encountering of rich relict lichens and mushrooms.

Her collagraph and linocut prints are all inspired by the prehistory of Wales, taking the idea of Neolithic chambers as ‘portals’ to another world. Her work explores the other-than-human worlds of these sites, making connections between local ecologies, geologies, and site identities.
