I am a Cardiff-based Welsh artist working with print, drawing, painting, film, and photography. My art explores memory, place, and language, often through collecting images, films, and stories from my surroundings to understand our connection to the world around us.
Cerrig (Stones) Print Series:
As a child, I loved exploring rivers, lakes, and the sea, fascinated by the unique stones I found along the coast. Each stone felt like it held a story—whether it had travelled far or stayed put for generations. This fascination inspired my Cerrig series of linocut prints, based on the shapes and textures of stones and rock pools along the South Wales coast.
My interest in Buddhist philosophy has influenced these “stone walks,” which remind me of the calm, reflective nature of Zen gardens that imitate natural formations. The coast, with its mix of stillness and change, is a constant source of peace and inspiration for my work.
I graduated with a BFA in Fine Art from the Ruskin School of Art at Oxford University (2019) and an MA in Welsh and Celtic Studies from Cardiff University (2022), studies that continue to shape my exploration of place and identity.
