Heidi Mehta

I am a Welsh contemporary printmaker, textile artist, and workshop facilitator based in South Wales. My work combines screen, lino, and collagraph printing on paper and fabric, with hand and machine embroidery, often featuring stitched narratives inspired by the UK’s natural flora. Creativity has always been central to my life. After earning a BA (Hons) in Graphic Art at the University of South Wales, I worked in graphic and web design in London for six years. However, I missed hands-on artmaking, which led me back to Wales to pursue an MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking at the University of the West of England, where I refined my practice and began exhibiting across the UK.
I design and create limited edition and bespoke artworks and textiles using new and vintage materials, including wearable art, interior accessories, and framed pieces. I also share my passion for creativity through masterclasses, school and community workshops, and corporate well-being sessions. Inspired by botanical imagery and my love of time spent outdoors, my work celebrates the natural world with vibrant colours, intricate patterns, and rich textures full of meaning and symbolism.
