Roselinde Stephens 1952- 2021
This exhibition is to celebrate the life and work of the artist Roselinde Stephens.
Roselinde trained in Fashion and Design and studied at the Cardiff School of Art and Design in Howard Gardens. She was born in Taunton and came to Cardiff as a young girl. Her love of art was always evident and when she started her career she incorporated her talent into designing and painting the Christmas window displays for Harrods of London. She also designed cards and stationery for a well known card company. She was a great lover of the natural world and it’s influence on her was expressed through her art in a variety of media, including painting and printmaking. This enjoyment and enthusiasm was shared with others, working with adults with learning disabilities in a number of local community centres.
Roselinde was a talented and multi-faceted artist who was a keen and active member of Cardiff Print Workshop. Many members will remember her fondly and she will be greatly missed by the group. A selection of her works are exhibited today in her memory and funds raised will be distributed in aid of local cancer charities and Cardiff Print Workshop.
